When insulation resistance is measured, electric charges stored in capacitive circuits are automatically discharged after testing. Discharge can be checked with a live voltage graph. To prevent the instrument from being left powered on and conserve battery power, the instrument automatically turns off approximately 10 minutes after the last switch operation.
