This kit features the DSA540A Sperry Instruments Snap-Around clamp meter and the E1 Line Splitter; a must-have duo for every homeowner and contractor. The clamp meter alone is a premiere tester, but with the line splitter accessory, you’ll be set for just about any situation. The clamp meter is a 10-function, 26 range auto-ranging unit engineered to measure up to 400A AC/DC current, 600V AC/DC voltage, 40 Mohm resistance, frequency, capacity diode test and continuity. Similar to digital multimeters, clamp meters offer a large range of functions and include LCD screens to display results, but they offer the additional unique ability to measure current without having to contact live conductors. The line splitter accessory is perfect in applications where the separation of wires can endanger the integrity of the insulation or where machinery uses am integrated plug. The line splitter will split the current loop for convenient measurement. We consider safety first; these instruments have been designed and tested and certified to cETLus with CAT II 600V and CAT III 300V ratings.
